Luchien tests the ground to see if it is icy. He wears a scarf and a wool cap. He slips a bit at first. Gabin is watching, perched on the garden fence. He wears a small bonnet, too). Luchien takes care, and goes a little faster, with more slides and this time, raising his arms for balance. Gabin holds a sign that says 5/10. He is the skating judge. Luchien is gaining speed and is lifting one leg. Gabin’s sign now reads 6/10. Luchien looks disappointed. He gives himself a boost, and gains even more speed. He begins to slide and becomes unbalanced, falling in a dizzy heap. Gabin smirks. His sign reads 10/10.
